This Monday afternoon, our president and candidate for National Representative for the Province of Buenos Aires, Jimena López, along with the coordinator of the Puerto Participativo Program and councilor-elect, Dr. Silvia Blanco, signed the agreements that enable each association to begin implementing their projects.
During an emotionally charged meeting, representatives from each entity reviewed their progress and shared the strategies they used to secure the votes that led them to the final stage.
Jimena also praised and thanked the efforts of each organization that participated in the program, emphasizing that “each of these institutions represents the best of our district. They are an example that when we come together to build projects, they can become reality.”
She also emphasized that “the greatest value we take away is the response of the thousands of residents who voted, shared, and supported their clubs, schools, and associations. This demonstrates that there is a committed community eager to grow.”
At the end, he also congratulated the winners and reaffirmed his commitment to the district: “Today we signed the dreams of five associations, and we want them to know that we will continue supporting these initiatives so that more projects become reality and we can continue building community together.”
The five projects most voted for by the community, representing different locations in the district, were:
- Huracán Social and Sports Club with its project “A stadium for boys and girls, 30 years later.” Those responsible for the project affirm that the initiative seeks to keep children and young people away from the streets and drugs through sports, providing support for vulnerable families, and promoting football education and training in a safe and dignified environment.
- Cooperator of School No. 17 with its project “Our Band, Uno 7.” An educational and cultural initiative that will strengthen music education and allow students to continue developing their own school band.
- The Quequén Ministry of Public Works Club is seeking to improve and complete the infrastructure of its soup kitchen with the goal of providing a more dignified, functional, and safe space for the children and families who attend weekly.
- Club Atlético Independencia de Ramón Santamarina with its project “Strengthening Bonds: Spaces for Sports, Culture, and Recreation.” The project aims to improve the club’s infrastructure and facilities to enhance its important sociocultural, sports, and inclusive role in the community.
- The Nicanor Olivera Social, Sports, and Recreation Club Civil Association is working with its “Sharing Moments” project. This project aims to refurbish a space in the club that needs subfloor repair, tile installation, and a kitchen, heater, and other features, so that more than 100 children can share snacks, breakfast, or conversations after training.
